Big hearts mean big goals! Below you will find details on the current initiatives for the 2024-2025 school year for which we are focused on raising funds. We support teachers and students with supplies and equipment, including STEM resources. This year, we aim to introduce more project-based learning programs to provide hands-on experiences for students.
Our PRIDE initiative focuses on the beautification of school campuses such as updating playground areas, landscaping, and providing falcon spirit signage. The PTO facilitates positive volunteer events with various student groups and family involvement. Students who are seeking community service hours can give back to their school by managing the pollinator garden, trash cleanup, and light landscaping duties, just to name a few. In October of 2020, PTO kicked off their inaugural “Make A Difference Day” nationally recognized event. Over 60 volunteers from the community, families and children came out for the day to landscape and clean-up at the FHUSD High School Campus, even our very own mayor and husband joined our team for the day!
We support Falcon Fiesta which is a safe, drug and alcohol free environment for our graduating seniors and their guest, the night of graduation from 10:00pm-4:00am. It’s a graduation celebration night to remember! Thousands of dollars in gifts and money are donated by many organizations so attendees can enjoy Games, Food, DJ Music, Dancing, Raffles, Photo Booth and MORE!
The PTO Falcon Legacy Scholarship will be awarded to one female and one male senior high student who is committed to displaying a
Positive Attitude,

Our new and improved website is intended to help facilitate stronger communication between parents, district staff, students as well as current and future residents. Thank you to our Title Sponsor and Fourth Element Marketing for their generous contributions to achieve this goal.
The PTO is thrilled to keep our schools updated on the latest in Stem initiatives. This year we funded The Hovercraft Project. It was an exciting and engaging way to integrate STEM education into the classroom. Projects like these not only make learning fun but also provide hands-on experiences that reinforce critical concepts in science, math, and engineering. After gathering feedback and evaluating the program, we are applying for a grant to seek long-term funding solutions and develop a plan for scaling the project to different grade levels and potentially other schools within the district. We hope The Hovercraft Project will make a lasting and impactful part of the school’s STEM education program.
The PTO is excited to continue the Librarian Expansion initiative. In 2023, we invested $30,000 into McDowell Mountain Elementary’s planetarium. This library feature enriches students’ learning with up-to-date technology, allowing them to explore space, ocean life, and global destinations up close and more.
We will continue supporting our school community by funding books, classroom supplies, and STEM, art, and PE equipment. The PTO also provides ongoing support like club t-shirts, staff appreciation treats, literacy programs, and building and maintaining a garden for our students . Our goal is to meet each school’s needs and ensure every teacher and student has the resources they need to thrive.
